The New CD!!!!
We are about halfway through the recording process of the new CD, which we have been recording with Grammy winning engineer Glenn Brown at GBP (Glenn Brown Productions) in Lansing, MI. Glenn has recorded Blues Music Award nominees Root Doctor and Greg Nagy, and has also worked with the likes of Eminem and has additionally designed all of Kid Rock's downtown Detroit studios. One thing I can assure you is that this disk is already sounding even better than I had hoped, and we haven't even got to mixdowns and mastering yet! We know so many of you have been waiting a long time for the completion of this disk, and I can assure you that it will be well worth waiting for! Until then, you can order a copy of our promo disk 2.09, heard every week on the Friday & Saturday Night Blues on WGVU, 88.5/95.3FM in Grad Rapids! |

The Sunday Blues Jam at Deelite Bar & Grill is growing, growing, growing! When Sunday beer & wine sales became legal in Ottawa County last November, we knew something had to be done! So naturally, the VHP thought the best option was to start a blues jam session in downtown Grand Haven, invite all of our friends to come play and watch, and to find a venue that was interested in hosting our crazy bunch, (and of course, selling lots of beer!). As many of you know, we soon outgrew our original location and found a new home at The Deelite Bar & Grille at 24 Washington Ave. We are now going on our third month of Sunday at the Deelite, and the past few weeks have drawn so many pro and amateur blues musicians and fans that the wait staff has had to bring extra tables in from the other rooms to accomodate the crowd! Weekly participants include James Reeser, Tomas Esparza, Kirk Barkel, Dave Tallman from Tailshaker, Rick Belkofoer, Paul Abair, Kevin Kozel from "Death By Dancing" and a bunch of talented amateurs who are hangin' tight with us pros! It is fast becoming our favorite gig, and we are hoping to keep it going through the summer and year 'round! Thanks to everyone who has been attending, playing, and spending their money downtown! and a big thank you to the staff of the Deelite for all of your time and help! We even hear that another downtown bar's Sunday business has increased by 20%! Way to go everyone!
