North 61 Records is pleased to announce the official release of "The Grind", the brand new, long awaited brand new CD by Vincent Hayes!Featuring ten brand new songs recorded by Hayes and his stellar rhythm section (David Alves, Donnie Hugley), recorded at Redwall North Studios in Hayes's hometown of Grand Haven, MI, "The Grind" takes Vincent and the band back to their beginnings as a power trio, and showcases Hayes's evolution as a songwriter and a guitar force to be reckoned with. The disc was produced and engineered by "soundman of the stars" Bill Chrysler (John Mayer, Lionel Richie, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Eagles, Christina Aguilera), and co-produced and engineered by Joe Sturgil (Four Finger Five) during the Spring of 2013, and mastered by Brian Lucey from Magic Garden Studios, who also has won Grammy's for his work with the Black Keys (Brothers, El Camino). There are eight new Hayes originals on The Grind, in addition to an interpretation of "Inner City Blues", the 1971 classic by Marvin Gaye, and the moody and dark "Not Tonight", a collaborative song penned by West Michigan singer/songwriter Joel Toppen, and arranged by Hayes and the band.
